Takta is not an ERP and is not trying to become one. It does scheduling for shops that build to order, and it says plainly which parts of that are written, specified or simply not promised.

01Core behaviour

The schedule is derived, not drawn.

You maintain the inputs, including routings, work-center hours, material dates and priority order. Takta produces the placement. When an input changes, the placement changes with it, which is the whole point.

02Scope by state

Every item, and how far along it is.

In development means we are writing it now. Specified means the behaviour is designed and agreed but no code exists. Later means it is not part of the first release and we are not committing to a date.

Job and routing entry

In development

Jobs with quantity, requested date and an ordered list of operations. Entry is keyboard-first because schedulers type faster than they click.

Work centers and calendars

In development

Named centers with setup and run figures, shift hours, and planned downtime you can enter before it happens.

Derived promise dates with slack

In development

The earliest feasible finish for each job, with the gap to the requested date shown, including when that gap is negative.

Reschedule on change

In development

Change a rate, a shift or a priority and the board re-derives, so the schedule survives a bad Tuesday.

Material arrival gating

Specified, not built

An expected arrival date that holds an operation. Material that has not landed does not consume machine hours.

Floor day view

Specified, not built

Per work center: what is next, what it belongs to, and what it is waiting on. Designed for a fixed tablet, large type, no hover.

Shared resource contention

Specified, not built

Fixtures, tooling or bays that two operations cannot occupy at once.

Accounts, roles and multi-shop

There is no sign-in on this site today. Accounts arrive with the first release.

Integrations of any kind

No ERP, accounting, CAM or messaging integration exists. None will be listed here before it works.

Mobile applications

No iOS or Android application is being built. The floor view is designed to work in a browser on a tablet.

03Boundaries

Deliberately out of scope.

Shops already run quoting, accounting and CAM somewhere. Replacing those is how scheduling tools get abandoned, so Takta stays on one job.

Takta is pre-release. Pricing will be set with the shops that use the first version, and published here once it is real. Until then there are no plans, tiers, trials or discounts to show.
